Course Description
This course is intended to explain the role of pressure when using a high flow nasal cannula system.
Objectives
- Upon completion of the course, the participant will demonstrate an understanding of the factors that determine pressure in a high flow therapy (HFT) system circuit as well as a patient’s airway. In addition, the participant will understand the fundamental engineering concerns associated with assembling a high flow nasal cannula circuit. Lastly, the participant will understand the current peer reviewed literature relative to airway pressure in high flow systems.
